About this role

Schedule: Saturdays only, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Location: Remote

Hours: Approximately 4 hours per week

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Nurse Practitioner for a Saturday-only remote position with our outpatient opioid use disorder treatment program.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced NP looking to supplement an existing position with a consistent, predictable 4-hour Saturday schedule.

Our clinic specializes in medication-assisted treatment (MAT), including Suboxone, Brixadi, and Sublocade, and provides care using a harm reduction, patient-centered approach. Our patient population includes individuals with complex medical and social needs, and our goal is to provide accessible, respectful care that supports recovery and overall health.

This position focuses on general medical and addiction treatment and does not include psychiatric evaluations or psychiatric medication management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered medical care to individuals receiving treatment for opioid use disorder.
  • Conduct appropriate medical evaluations and follow-up visits via telehealth.
  • Review and interpret laboratory results and other clinical information.
  • Prescribe and manage buprenorphine/Suboxone treatment in accordance with current clinical standards and clinic protocols.
  • Evaluate patients receiving long-acting injectable medications, including Brixadi and Sublocade, with onsite clinical staff administering injections as appropriate.
  • Collaborate remotely with onsite clinical, care management, and front desk staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients regarding medication adherence, harm reduction, recovery, and overall health.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
  • Follow established clinic policies, protocols, and standards of care.

Qualifications

  • Licensure/Certifications: Active Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania
  • Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification alone does not meet the requirements for this position
  • Ability to reliably work Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM remotely.
  • Comfortable providing care through telehealth and working collaboratively with an onsite team.

Experience

  • Experience prescribing buprenorphine or treating patients with substance use disorders is preferred.
  • Experience working with underserved populations or patients with complex medical and social needs is a plus.
  • Comfortable using EMR systems, telehealth platforms, and other technology required for remote patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with onsite staff.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment while providing compassionate, nonjudgmental care.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Why This Position?

If you are looking for a small, consistent weekend commitment that allows you to use your clinical skills while making a meaningful impact, this may be a great fit.

You'll join an established team committed to reducing barriers to treatment and providing accessible, compassionate care to individuals affected by opioid use disorder.

Pay: $75.00 per hour

Application Question(s):

  • Do you hold an NP certification other than PMHNP, such as Family/Primary Care, Adult-Gerontology, or another non-psychiatric NP specialty? (PMHNP certification alone does not qualify)

License/Certification:

  • Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania? (Preferred)
