Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Contract-Based Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead residential interior design projects ensuring innovative, functional, and aesthetically captivating spaces.

As a contract designer, you will collaborate closely with clients, estimators, project managers, and our trade partners to bring visions to life while managing multiple projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand their vision, functional needs, style preferences, priorities, and budget.
• Evaluate existing kitchens, bathrooms, and interior spaces and explore practical layout alternatives.
• Develop comprehensive interior design concepts tailored to client needs and preferences for residential spaces
• Create detailed drawings and presentations using CAD software such as Chief Architect and 2020 to visualize design ideas effectively
• Develop thoughtful cabinetry, storage, lighting, finish, and material plans.
• Guide clients through selections for cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, paint, and related materials.
• Document product selections accurately in the company's estimating or project-management system.
• Create detailed design notes and scope-of-work documentation.
• Review designs for constructability and support a smooth handoff from design to production.

Qualifications

• Prefferrably five years, but at least three years of professional kitchen and bath remodeling design experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating completed kitchen, bathroom, or whole-home remodeling projects.
• Familiarity with residential construction, renovation processes, and common building considerations.
• Proficiency with Chief Architect, 2020 Design, or comparable professional design software.
• Strong project management abilities with experience managing multiple design projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of cabinetry, space planning, lighting, plumbing fixtures, tile, flooring, and interior finishes.
• Ability to create accurate plans, elevations, renderings, and design documentation.
• Excellent client communication skills to understand needs and present ideas clearly

Pay: $67,300. 00 - $81,100. 00 per year
