Graphic Designer, Sports Programs and Print Publications

Generation 3 Media is a full-service event publishing company that has served schools across the Midwest for more than three decades. We produce programs, posters, playbills, and tickets for high school and college events. We handle everything in-house: editorial, graphic design, advertising sales that fund each project, and printing.

About the Role

We’re looking for a graphic designer who enjoys fast-paced, detail-heavy print work. You’ll design and lay out complete programs: covers, team roster pages, tournament brackets, schedules, and local business ads. During the August through May school year, you’ll juggle multiple programs on tight deadlines, so you’ll need to be organized and accurate.

What You’ll Do

• Lay out multi-page programs in InDesign using templates and style sheets
• Design eye-catching covers that capture each school’s pride and colors
• Build and resize advertisements for local businesses
• Place team rosters, photos, brackets, and schedules
• Prepare print-ready files for our in-house digital presses
• Proof your work carefully for names, dates, and details

What We’re Looking For

• Strong skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Experience with multi-page print layout
• Solid understanding of print production: bleeds, resolution, CMYK, and preflighting
• Sharp attention to detail, because a misspelled name matters to a family in the stands
• Ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once
• A portfolio showing print and layout work

Nice to Have

• Experience with newspapers, yearbooks, magazines, or other publications
• Interest in high school or college sports

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
