About this role
Our Foundation
Geeslin Group has been built on something simple: great work starts with great relationships.
We are a mid-sized, regional public accounting firm that provides tax, accounting, audit, and advisory services to individuals, families, and businesses. While the work we do is technical and ever-changing, our approach has remained grounded in the things that matter most-knowing our clients, understanding their goals, and being there to help them succeed.
Over the years, our firm has grown, but we have never lost sight of who we are. We are a team of professionals who take pride in doing quality work, solving problems, and helping our clients navigate important financial decisions that provide clarity and peace of mind. Many of our relationships with clients span decades, and that loyalty is priceless.
Our team works hard to build the same kind of lasting relationships with one another. Our employees bring different experiences, strengths, and perspectives to the firm, but we share a commitment to serving our clients and supporting one another. We believe in collaboration, sharing knowledge, and helping each other grow.
That is who we are-and why we stand out as a accounting firm that measures success not just in numbers, but in the relationships we build.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior CAS Accountant to join our Client Accounting Services (CAS) team and help business owners get the clear, accurate financial information they need to run their companies. In this role, you will manage the monthly close for a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients, prepare and review financial statements, and serve as a trusted day-to-day contact for the clients you support.
The Senior CAS Accountant also serves as a technical resource and mentor to the CAS team - reviewing the work of staff accountants, helping train new team members, and working alongside the CAS Manager to keep engagements accurate and on schedule.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving accounting problems, takes pride in clean, well-documented work, and is excited about using technology to make processes smarter and more efficient.
What You'll Do
- Manage the monthly and quarterly close for a portfolio of assigned clients, from reconciliations and accruals through finished financial statements.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset schedules, and financial statement packages.
- Analyze results and help clients understand what their numbers mean for their business.
- Research and resolve complex or unusual transactions using sound professional judgment.
- Serve as the go-to contact for assigned clients, communicating proactively about requests, deadlines, and results.
- Help onboard new clients, including chart of accounts setup, cleanup and catch-up work, and process documentation.
- Support client payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and sales tax processes as needed.
- Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Coach and train team members on technical accounting, software, and firm procedures.
- Partner with the CAS Manager to monitor workflow, deadlines, and engagement budgets, escalating issues or scope changes as they arise.
- Collaborate with the tax team to deliver accurate, tax-ready year-end information.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and put new technology and automation to work.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- CPA or EA credential (or active progress toward one) preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in public accounting.
- Must have client accounting services (CAS) experience.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and the monthly close, with proven experience preparing financial statements for multiple clients.
- Experience reviewing the work of others or leading smaller engagements preferred.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel skills; experience with project management software or other cloud-based tools a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and client service skills, including the ability to explain financial results to non-accountants.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines while maintaining quality.
- A willingness to mentor others and an eagerness to learn new technology.
What We Offer
- A collaborative, relationship-focused work environment.
- The opportunity to work closely with business owners and make a real impact on how they manage their businesses.
- Room to grow your technical and leadership skills, with opportunities to mentor others along the way.
- A team that embraces cloud-based tools and is always looking for better ways to work.
- A varied client base across a range of industries.
Working Environment
- Normal office hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Some travel to various offices and client locations may be required.
- Additional hours may be required during peak periods.
Our Benefits
- Competitive compensation

- Generous PTO
- 11 paid holidays
