Senior Tier III / Lead Systems Engineer

to serve as the highest level of technical escalation and a trusted advisor to our clients. This role is ideal for someone who excels at solving complex IT infrastructure and Microsoft environment challenges while also confidently leading customer discussions, mentoring engineers, and driving strategic technology initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Act as the primary Tier III escalation resource for complex technical issues.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of advanced Microsoft cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Architect and implement solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Defender, and Windows Server platforms.
• Serve as a technical lead on projects, migrations, security initiatives, and cloud transformations.
• Conduct executive and customer-facing presentations, technical reviews, and strategic planning meetings.
• Mentor and coach Tier I and Tier II engineers.
• Develop standards, documentation, and best practices for service delivery.
• Participate in incident response and critical outage management.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Technical Expertise Required

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Microsoft 365 Administration
• Microsoft Azure
• Microsoft Intune Endpoint Management
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Microsoft Defender Security Suite
• Windows Server Administration
• Active Directory & Group Policy
• Exchange Online
• SharePoint Online & Teams
• Networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Firewalls)
• PowerShell Automation
• Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions
• Virtualization Technologies (Hyper-V, VMware)

Leadership & Communication Skills

We're looking for more than a technical expert. The ideal candidate must be able to:

• Communicate effectively with executives, stakeholders, and end users.
• Lead customer meetings and present technical concepts in business terms.
• Build trust with clients and act as a strategic technology advisor.
• Manage high-pressure situations professionally and confidently.
• Mentor team members and elevate technical capabilities across the organization.
• Drive projects to completion with strong ownership and accountability.

Ideal Candidate

• 7+ years of systems engineering or MSP experience.
• Proven experience supporting multiple client environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Microsoft certifications are highly preferred (Azure, Microsoft 365, Security, Intune, etc.).
