About this role
Job description -------------------
G5 Games is a Swedish developer and publisher of mobile games in the Hidden Object, Match-3, and Mahjong genres. Over 25 years, we have built a portfolio of more than 30 free-to-play titles with an audience of 300 million players worldwide. Our team is 600+ professionals across different countries.
Looking for a Product Manager / Product Owner (Ad Mediation & Ad Network) who will develop our proprietary mediation platform and launch an ad network for external developers and advertisers. If you want to work on a product with history — we look forward to your application.
What You Will
Work On:
- Define the platform strategy: from mediation for our Windows games to onboarding external developers and launching our own SSP and DSP.
- Develop the ad auction: specify waterfall rules, floor prices, timeouts, preloading, and the transition to in-app bidding; define integration requirements for SDK ad networks, Google Ad Manager, exchanges, and DSPs through OpenRTB.
- Shape the offering for external developers, covering SDK integration, onboarding, revenue share, payouts, and reporting.
- Assess the market, competitors, and business cases for new products: inventory volume, demand sources, fill rate, eCPM, margins, and development costs; make build-or-partner decisions.
- Design the advertiser self-serve platform, from registration and payments to campaign setup, targeting, attribution, moderation, and reporting; decide which features require support from our team.
- Map user journeys, create prototypes with a designer, and conduct interviews and usability tests; improve the campaign launch funnel and help materials.
- Write business requirements, specifications, and user stories with acceptance criteria; prioritize the backlog, plan development, and review delivered features with the Lead AdTech Engineer.
- Define KPIs and dashboard requirements, identify revenue growth opportunities, and work across teams on fraud prevention, reporting reconciliation, auction transparency, and data separation.
What We Expect:
- At least 5 years of product management experience, including 3 or more years in AdTech: mediation, SDK ad networks, SSPs, DSPs, ad exchanges, or ad servers; experience taking an AdTech product from concept to its first customers and subsequent growth.
- Deep understanding of in-app advertising: supply and demand, waterfall, in-app bidding, floor prices, fill rate, eCPM, take rate, and the flow of money from advertiser to publisher.
- Experience managing advertising product P&L and unit economics, modeling margins and revenue share, and negotiating commercial terms with partners.
- Experience defining product strategy and roadmaps, with the ability to write precise engineering specifications and share examples.
- Experience developing B2B interfaces and self-serve products, including user flows, customer journey maps, Figma prototypes, and usability testing.
- Strong SQL and BI skills, experience analyzing impression-level and cohort data, and the ability to design A/B tests.
- Technical understanding of SDK integrations, OpenRTB, bid requests and responses, and reporting APIs; knowledge of GDPR, TCF, ads.txt, app-ads.txt, sellers.json, and invalid traffic detection principles.
- English at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level.
Would Be a Plus:
- Product experience at AppLovin, Unity / ironSource, Google, Liftoff, Mintegral, InMobi, Digital Turbine, BidMachine, PubMatic, or similar companies; experience with Google Ad Manager 360: Open Auction, PMP, Programmatic Guaranteed, or MCM.
- Experience building an aggregator or a developer revenue share program.
- Experience working for an advertiser or in UA, covering CPI campaigns, Adjust, AppsFlyer, postbacks, or ROAS optimization.
- Experience with advertising on Windows, PC, or the web; experience in free-to-play or casual games with an understanding of how ads affect in-app purchases and retention.
- Practical experience using AI tools for specifications or analysis.
What We Offer:
- An employment contract or a contractor agreement, depending on your location.
- Fully remote work with company-provided equipment.
- Paid vacation and 3 additional sick days per year — no doctor's note required.
- Medical insurance and gym membership reimbursement.
- A close-knit team of professionals with deep expertise in mobile game development.
- Relocation support: financial assistance and guidance at every step — from choosing a country to obtaining legal status.
We look forward to your resume!
