About this role

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Future Hope Pediatrics | Shelbyville, Kentucky

Overview:

Future Hope Pediatrics is a small, family-centered pediatric primary care practice in Shelbyville, Kentucky. We take a thoughtful, holistic approach to medicine that recognizes the body's natural healing abilities, emphasizes wellness and prevention, and empowers parents to trust their instincts and make informed decisions about their children's healthcare.

We believe in treating the whole child, not just the symptoms, and value individualized care and meaningful relationships with the families we serve.

Our practice welcomes families regardless of vaccination status. We respect parental autonomy and believe in providing families with information and guidance while honoring their individual healthcare choices.

We are seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who shares our passion for personalized pediatric care. Our close-knit team values collaboration, mutual respect, a positive workplace culture, and an excellent work-life balance.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Practice in accordance with Kentucky licensing requirements and applicable professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nursing program.
  • Current certification through NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC, as applicable.
  • Active Kentucky license or eligibility for Kentucky licensure as a PA or APRN.
  • Pediatric, family medicine, or primary care experience preferred.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, approachable, and patient-centered demeanor.
  • Interest in holistic, individualized, and minimally invasive approaches to pediatric healthcare.
  • Appreciation for parental involvement and shared decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small practice setting.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • $50–$60 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Three days per week.
  • No weekends!
  • Excellent work-life balance.
  • Supportive and welcoming work environment.
