Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and mental abilities through comprehensive evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities in areas such as self-care, work, and leisure activities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapists and nurses, to provide holistic patient care.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and strategies for home practice.
• Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment within clinics or home health settings.

Requirements

• A valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Alabama.
• Experience in pediatrics is preferred.
• Familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to assist patients with diverse needs, ensuring compassionate care at all times.
• Previous experience in clinic environments is desirable.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in occupational therapy.
