CONTRACT - Senior Front End Developer (React/Vue + Java)

About the Role

Fruition Group is partnering with an established, global technology-driven business to find a Senior Front End Developer on a contract basis. Our client is investing in the digital tools that sit in front of their customers and internal teams, and they need an experienced engineer who is equally at home building polished user interfaces and working with the Java services behind them.

You'll join an engineering team that values clean, maintainable code and sensible technical decisions, and you'll be expected to make an impact quickly.

What You'll Do

• Build and enhance responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React or Vue.
• Work closely with back-end developers to connect front-end components to Java-based services and APIs.
• Take ownership of front-end architecture decisions, component design, and code quality across projects.
• Contribute to Java development where needed, so features can be delivered end to end.
• Review code, share knowledge, and help raise standards across the team.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and QA to turn requirements into reliable, well-tested features.
• Troubleshoot performance and usability issues and recommend practical improvements.

What Our Client Is Looking For

• Senior-level commercial experience in front-end development, with strong React or Vue skills (modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Solid working experience with Java in a professional environment, including building or consuming RESTful services.
• A track record of delivering production applications and making sound technical decisions without needing close supervision.
• Familiarity with testing, version control, and CI/CD practices.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach to working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Comfortable splitting time between remote work and periodic on-site collaboration.
