Senior IT Project Manager | Boston, MA | 3 days onsite | $170,000 - $195,000 + Bonus & Benefits

We are partnering with a leading professional services organization in Boston to hire an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, business-critical technology initiatives across the organization.

This is a senior individual contributor role with significant visibility across IT leadership and the wider business. You’ll take ownership of multiple concurrent projects, providing the structure, governance and accountability needed to keep complex technology initiatives moving forward.

The environment requires someone who can operate effectively across both technical and non-technical groups, adapting their communication style depending on the audience while confidently holding senior stakeholders accountable to deadlines and deliverables.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead complex IT projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through delivery and closure
  • Oversee software implementations, technology rollouts, infrastructure initiatives and system decommissioning projects
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, dependencies and success criteria
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities across the technology portfolio
  • Partner closely with IT leaders to establish accountability around milestones and delivery timelines
  • Identify project risks, dependencies and resource challenges before they impact delivery
  • Provide clear, concise project reporting and updates to senior stakeholders
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committees and post-implementation reviews
  • Support change management and stakeholder communication around technology implementations
  • Coordinate internal teams, external vendors and other project resources
  • Help improve project management standards, governance and best practices across the IT function
  • Ensure project management platforms and documentation remain accurate and up to date

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of IT project management experience, ideally within legal, legal technology, professional services or a similarly complex environment
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong experience managing technology projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Experience delivering software development, implementation and/or infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously
  • Confidence working with senior IT leaders and holding stakeholders accountable for delivery
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach between highly technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong project governance, documentation, planning and organizational skills
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Monday.com or MS Project
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other low-code/no-code platforms is advantageous
  • PMP, CAPM or similar project management certification preferred
  • A collaborative but resilient approach, with the ability to navigate different personalities and priorities without losing sight of delivery

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys bringing structure and accountability to complex IT environments without needing to be deep in the technical weeds every day.

You’ll be joining an established technology function and working across a broad range of high-impact projects with significant exposure to senior leadership.

If you’re an experienced IT Project Manager from a legal, professional services or comparable technology environment and would be interested in hearing more, please apply or reach out directly for a confidential conversation.
