Forks Lath & Plaster, Inc. (FLP) is seeking an IT Manager to lead and oversee our information technology department. This position will have independent responsibility and decision-making authority for FLP’s technology operations, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, software, hardware, and technology strategy.
The IT Manager will independently manage the day-to-day and long-term technology needs of the organization. This position will work directly with company leadership and employees across all departments to ensure FLP’s technology systems are reliable, secure, efficient, and aligned with the company’s operational and business objectives.
The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the full IT function, including technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, technical support, vendor management, technology purchasing, IT policies and procedures, and technology projects.
This role may be based in either our Fargo or Grand Forks, ND office!
Applicants must have/possess:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (required)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in information technology, systems administration, network administration, IT management, or a related field (required)
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, cloud-based systems, cybersecurity, and systems administration
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, data protection, access management, and technology risk
- Current and valid Driver’s license and reliable means of transportation

The primary role of the IT Manager includes the following essential functions:
- Serve as the primary leader and point of accountability for all information technology functions at FLP
- Independently assess the company’s technology needs and determine priorities, solutions, and improvements
- Develop and maintain an IT strategy that supports FLP’s current operations, future growth, and business objectives
- Establish IT standards, policies, procedures, and best practices
- Have overall responsibility for FLP’s technology infrastructure, systems, networks, and technology environment
- Manage and maintain computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, networking equipment, telecommunications, and other technology assets
- Oversee company networks, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, cloud environments, and related infrastructure
- Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, email accounts, and system credentials
- Have primary responsibility for FLP’s cybersecurity program and technology-related risk management
- Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls
- Have overall responsibility for the company’s business applications, software platforms, and technology systems
- Manage software licenses, subscriptions, renewals, and user access
- Develop and manage the company’s IT budget in coordination with company leadership
- Assist with any IT related projects, as needed
