About the role
We’re looking for a recently qualified accountant ready to make their first move from practice into industry. As Senior Finance Analyst, you’ll be the commercial finance lead on the ground in New York. You’ll report directly to the Head of Commercial Finance in London and be our sole team member in New York, working as part of a global commercial finance team based across London and Dubai.
You’ll work from our New York office alongside colleagues from other departments and partner closely with our US sales and commercial teams. That makes this a highly visible role, with real ownership from day one.
This is a hands-on commercial finance and FP&A role in a fast-moving media business. You’ll take the technical grounding you built in practice and apply it to real commercial decisions. You’ll have strong exposure with senior stakeholders and plenty of room to grow.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own US commercial finance end-to-end: covering reporting, forecasting, budgeting, month-end, building processes and controls to support growth, and acting as the trusted finance partner to US leadership.
- Business partner with our US sales, commercial, and video production teams, helping them understand performance and make better decisions.
- Build and maintain financial models to support senior stakeholders.
- Deliver monthly management reporting, including budget vs. actuals (BvA) analysis and commentary.
- Assist stakeholders with evaluating new opportunities and contracts, including financial modelling in line with best practice.
- Provide operational support to the US business across our procurement and expense platforms.
- Carry out ad hoc analysis that informs strategic decision making.
- Assist with M&A due diligence and other corporate development projects as opportunities arise.
What you have:
- CPA or equivalent qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA), recently qualified.
- Trained in practice, ideally at a Big Four firm.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Confident in communicating financial insight to non-finance colleagues.
- Curious and proactive, with a strong eye for detail.
- Comfortable making independent decisions and applying your judgement to help our business grow.
