**Job Overview**
Flight Power Repair Group is seeking an experienced and highly qualified IT Manager to lead and oversee the organization's information technology operations, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and technical support within our aerospace MRO environment.
This is a hands\-on leadership position requiring a strong combination of IT management experience, advanced technical knowledge, Quantum ERP expertise, and experience supporting an FAA Part 145 and EASA\-regulated operation.
The IT Manager will be responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and compliant technology systems while supporting the operational needs of Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, and other departments throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing IT infrastructure, hardware, software, servers, networks, system security, user access, data management, technical projects, and end\-user support. This individual must be capable of both providing strategic direction and personally troubleshooting complex technical issues when necessary.
A strong working knowledge of Quantum is essential for this position. The IT Manager will serve as a key technical resource for the system, supporting users, troubleshooting system\-related issues, maintaining appropriate access and configurations, assisting with reporting and data requirements, and collaborating with operational departments to ensure Quantum effectively supports business and regulatory processes.
Because Flight Power Repair Group operates within a highly regulated aerospace environment, the IT Manager must understand the importance of data integrity, system security, electronic records, traceability, controlled access, documentation, and regulatory compliance within an FAA Part 145 and EASA repair station.
IT Leadership \& Operations
- Lead and oversee daily IT operations across the organization.
- Manage the company's IT infrastructure, systems, hardware, software, networks, servers, and related technology resources.
- Ensure reliable system availability and minimize technology\-related operational downtime.
- Provide technical leadership and support to employees across all departments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, system, network, and connectivity issues.
- Establish and maintain IT procedures, standards, documentation, and technical controls.
- Evaluate existing technology and recommend improvements based on operational and business requirements.
- Prioritize IT issues and projects based on business impact, security, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with leadership and department managers regarding technology needs, system improvements, and technical projects.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, software providers, service providers, and other external technical resources.
- Provide guidance and technical direction to IT support personnel as applicable.
Quantum ERP Administration \& Support
- Serve as a primary technical resource for the company's Quantum ERP system.
- Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for Quantum\-related technical and user issues.
- Maintain and manage appropriate Quantum user access, permissions, and system configurations within assigned authority.
- Support employees and departments in the effective use of Quantum.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Customer Service, and other departments to understand and support Quantum\-related operational requirements.
- Assist with Quantum reporting, data management, system configuration, and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot system performance, user access, workflow, and data\-related issues.
- Coordinate with Quantum technical support or external providers when issues require vendor\-level assistance.
- Support system updates, enhancements, integrations, and other Quantum\-related projects.
- Maintain documentation related to Quantum configurations, access, procedures, and technical changes.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and system utilization while maintaining appropriate controls and data integrity.
Infrastructure, Systems \& Network Management
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and performance of company computers, servers, network equipment, and related infrastructure.
- Manage and troubleshoot network connectivity and system performance issues.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and replacement of IT hardware and software.
- Support system upgrades, migrations, infrastructure improvements, and technology implementations.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential technical issues before they result in significant operational disruption.
- Develop and maintain appropriate backup, recovery, and system\-continuity practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and infrastructure.
- Coordinate specialized infrastructure and technical work with qualified vendors when necessary.
Cybersecurity, Data Protection \& Access Control
- Maintain and continuously improve the organization's IT security practices and technical controls.
- Protect company, customer, employee, technical, and operational information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
- Manage user access and permissions in accordance with company requirements.
- Monitor systems for potential cybersecurity threats, unauthorized access, malware, suspicious activity, and other security concerns.
- Ensure appropriate security measures are maintained across company devices, systems, networks, and applications.
- Coordinate security updates, software patches, endpoint protection, and other cybersecurity activities.
- Establish appropriate procedures for onboarding, modifying, and terminating system access.
- Investigate and appropriately escalate potential IT security incidents.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all information accessible through IT administrative privileges.
- Support business continuity, backup, recovery, and disaster\-recovery planning.
FAA Part 145, EASA \& Quality Compliance
- Maintain IT systems and processes in support of the company's FAA Part 145, EASA, and internal Quality requirements.
- Understand the importance of system controls, data integrity, record retention, traceability, access management, and electronic information within a regulated aerospace MRO environment.
- Ensure IT\-related processes and system changes are appropriately documented and controlled.
- Support Quality and other departments in maintaining reliable access to required electronic records and information.
- Support internal, customer, regulatory, and external audits as required.
- Provide system documentation, access information, records, and technical support during audit activities.
- Assist with corrective actions involving IT systems, electronic records, data, or technology processes.
- Ensure technology changes do not compromise controlled processes, required records, data integrity, or regulatory compliance.
- Report and document applicable quality, security, or safety concerns through established company channels.
- Work closely with Quality to ensure technology systems continue to support applicable regulatory and company requirements.
Engineering \& Operational Support
- Work closely with Engineering and Production to support specialized technical and operational technology requirements.
- Support installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized engineering software and hardware.
- Assist with data\-management requirements and technical workflows supporting Engineering and Production.
- Evaluate technical requirements for new equipment, software, systems, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering and other departments to improve system performance and technical workflows.
- Ensure IT infrastructure adequately supports operational and production requirements.
IT Projects \& Continuous Improvement
- Lead and participate in IT infrastructure projects, system upgrades, migrations, implementations, and process improvements.
- Develop project plans and coordinate technology\-related implementations across departments.
- Evaluate new technology and determine its suitability for the organization's operational, security, and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through system enhancements and technology.
- Coordinate testing and implementation of new hardware, software, systems, and technical solutions.
- Manage technology projects from planning through implementation and post\-implementation support.
- Document significant system changes, configurations, and technical decisions.
IT Asset Management \& Documentation
- Maintain accurate inventory and control of company IT hardware, software, licenses, and technology assets.
- Oversee equipment assignment, replacement, transfer, and retirement.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, procedures, and incident records.
- Ensure IT documentation remains current as systems and processes change.
- Maintain organized records of vendors, warranties, licenses, equipment, and technical resources.
- Ensure retired technology and company data are handled appropriately and securely.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of progressive professional IT experience, including significant responsibility for IT infrastructure, systems, networks, technical support, and troubleshooting.
- Prior experience in an IT Manager, IT Supervisor, Systems Administrator, Senior IT Specialist, or similar senior technical role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting technology within an FAA Part 145 repair station, EASA\-approved organization, aerospace MRO, aviation maintenance organization, or similarly regulated environment.
- Strong hands\-on experience with Quantum ERP within an aviation/MRO environment.
- Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, servers, networking, and IT infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, system access, permissions, and information confidentiality.
- Experience managing system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing IT assets, software, technical documentation, and system configurations.
- Demonstrated understanding of data integrity, electronic records, traceability, and controlled access within a regulated environment.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits involving IT systems, electronic records, or technical documentation.
- Strong project\-management, organizational, analytical, and problem\-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non\-technical employees.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership, Engineering, Quality, Production, and other operational departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to critical system issues in a fast\-paced operational environment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive company, customer, employee, and technical information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Network Administration, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and extensive relevant professional experience.
- Advanced experience administering or supporting Quantum ERP in an aerospace MRO or FAA repair station environment.
- Experience supporting both FAA Part 145 and EASA\-regulated operations.
- Experience managing IT operations within an aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial organization.
- Relevant technical certifications in IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, systems administration, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading IT personnel, vendors, consultants, and technology projects.
- Experience supporting technical or engineering software and systems.
- Experience participating in regulatory, customer, and Quality audits within an aviation environment.
