Overview:
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of the Raleigh, NC office.
Responsible for the design, maintenance, modernization, and operational stability of core Wealth Management technology platforms supporting investment management, trust operations, regulatory reporting, and advisor data delivery.
This role operates at the intersection of legacy ETL systems, modernized scheduling frameworks, and business critical data pipelines, requiring deep technical expertise, domain knowledge, and hands-on leadership across the full software lifecycle.
Oversees the design, development, and support of enterprise ETL and data integration solutions using SSIS, SQL Server, and custom scheduling frameworks supporting wealth and trust platforms. Maintains and enhances legacy data pipelines while executing controlled modernization efforts, including migration from inbuilt schedulers to enterprise schedulers such as CA7 and ESP.
Designs and implements complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and data models to support asset classification, transaction processing, holdings reporting, downstream advisor and client reporting. Provides technical leadership for applications supporting Wealth Management, Private Wealth Management, Trust Operations, and Investment Advisory functions, ensuring accuracy, performance, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborates with business analysts, architecture teams, and stakeholders to translate financial and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions. Performs impact analysis for production changes, vulnerability remediation, and platform upgrades, including remediation of findings from security and compliance reviews.
Leads release planning, build preparation, deployment activities, and rollback strategies for production environments, ensuring minimal operational disruption. Coordinates with offshore and onshore development teams to prioritize work, manage dependencies, and ensure consistent delivery quality.
Participates in architecture and design reviews, contributing expertise on data flow design, system integration patterns, and performance optimization. Provides advanced production support, including root cause analysis, defect resolution, and preventative improvements for high-availability systems.
Develops and maintains technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational runbooks supporting long-term platform sustainability. Will drive technical initiatives while remaining hands-on with development, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or as a Technology Lead, Technology Consultant, Technology Analyst or related occupation.
- Requires extensive experience in .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API development.
- Requires six (6) years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and enterprise ETL design and scheduling.
- Requires experience supporting Wealth Management, Trust, or Financial Services platforms with complex data and regulatory requirements.
- Requires strong background in production support, ETL operations, and large-scale data processing environments.
- Requires experience working across multiple generations of systems, including legacy platforms and modernized architectures.
- Must have prior experience leading technical initiatives while remaining hands-on with development, troubleshooting, and optimization activities.
- Requires experience working with FIS, SEI and Envestnet.

The base pay for this position is generally between $159,910 to $225,522 per year. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
