New Leaf Healing Center | Rural Cohasset, MN

I’m looking for an RN to join my nursing team at New Leaf Healing Center, a mental health crisis center!

We’re seeking additional nursing coverage, with our greatest need being WEEKENDS!

POSITION & COMPENSATION

• Independent Contractor (1099) through First Call for Help 211.
• Competitive contract compensation, including a set daily on-call rate, additional pay for nursing-related phone calls & onsite work, plus holiday incentives. Message for rate details!
• 24-hour on-call shifts (7 AM–7 AM).
• Flexible scheduling! Choose your available days based on your schedule & NLHC needs.
• Must maintain personal professional liability insurance.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Current RN license & CPR certification.* Seizure First Aid certification (provided at no cost upon hire).
• Strong clinical judgment & critical thinking skills.
• Comfort addressing both mental & physical health needs, including medical comorbidities.
• An interest in holistic, person-centered & culturally responsive care.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Receive nurse-to-nurse reports from referring facilities.
• Complete medication intakes, inventory, reconciliation, & MAR creation.
• Provide nursing guidance & clinical support to Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs).
• Offer staff education & training when applicable.
• Complete onsite health screenings within 24–48 hours of admission.

WHY NEW LEAF?

A portion of the nursing work can be completed remotely, offering flexibility & independence. New intakes require onsite medication inventory, MAR completion & health screenings must be completed onsite. Our BHPs genuinely value & rely on the RN’s clinical judgment, knowledge, & expertise.
