Our New Graduate RN Residency Program – Medical/Surgical Nursing at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital is designed to provide newly licensed nurses with the education, clinical experience, mentorship, and support needed to confidently transition from nursing school into professional practice.

As part of our team, you'll work alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals while developing the clinical skills necessary to care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. You'll gain valuable experience in a community hospital setting where teamwork, compassionate care, and patient safety are at the heart of everything we do.

What You Can Expect

• Comprehensive orientation and structured clinical training

Eligible new graduates may qualify for our RN New Graduate Incentive Program. Financial incentives are available based on program eligibility and applicable employment commitments.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing required.

Licensure

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required upon employment/start of clinical practice.
• Newly licensed RNs and recent nursing graduates are encouraged to apply.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Additional certifications and clinical competencies will be completed as required during orientation and residency training.
