About the Role We are seeking an experienced and reliable Appearance Counsel to represent our law firm in various hearings and motions. This is a highly flexible, contract-based opportunity ideal for solo practitioners, freelance attorneys, or litigators looking to supplement their income without the burden of heavy drafting or case management.

Our in-house legal team handles all the substantive preparation. All briefs, memos, and pleadings are fully drafted and provided to you well in advance of the appearance. Your primary responsibility is to step into court and handle the hearing or motion.

The area of contract law is the same for each case, so arguments are very similar in each case.

How It Works (Complete Flexibility) We operate on an opt-in basis, allowing you to maintain complete control over your schedule.

• Email Invitations: You will receive invitations for upcoming hearings and motions directly via email.
• Accept or Reject: You have the absolute freedom to accept or decline any appearance based on your current bandwidth and schedule.
• Steady Volume: We typically offer between 15 to 45 cases per month to our active appearance counsel. Invites based on your availability and distance you like to travel in PA.

Key Responsibilities

• Appear on behalf of the firm for scheduled hearings and motions in designated courts.
• Review pre-drafted briefs, memos, and pleadings provided by our firm prior to the appearance.
• Advocate effectively for the client based on the provided materials and firm strategy.
• Provide a quick post-appearance notice to our team with the court’s ruling.

Requirements

• Active and in good standing with the PA State Bar.
• Good oral advocacy and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to travel to different courts.

Compensation

Details This role is paid strictly per appearance. Rates range from $125.00 to $400.00+ per appearance, with the exact fee determined by the distance traveled and the specific type of court or hearing.
