Compensation: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour, plus commission and team bonuses

Position Overview

The Graphic Designer and Inside Sales Representative plays a vital dual role in our center's success. Your primary focus will be design at our Fredericksburg Road location, while providing cross-location design support to our South and Alamo Ranch centers on heavy design days.

You will combine high-level graphic design skills with a consultative sales approach—helping clients turn their visibility, printing, and marketing ideas into reality.

Key ResponsibilitiesGraphic

Design & Production Prep

• Custom Design & Layout: Create compelling visuals ranging from monument/storefront signage and banners to business cards and custom marketing collateral. Handle original designs, drawing modifications, vector file refinements, and print setup.
• Workflow & File Management: Efficiently organize, schedule, and allocate time for daily work orders to ensure fast turnaround without compromising accuracy.
• Client Collaboration & Proofing: Prepare detailed online proofs using Corebridge that accurately match job specifications (size, quantity, material). Send proofs, follow up via phone, and manage revision alerts promptly.
• AI & Quality Inspection: Utilize AI tools to inspect design files for precision, resolution, and output device compatibility prior to production.
• Image Sourcing & Licensing: Source stock imagery, manage copyright/usage rules, and coordinate with service bureaus for specialized output needs.
• Team Communication: Collaborate closely with Sales/Service team members on job requirements and coordinate directly with Production Managers on inventory and media needs.

Consultative Inside Sales & Account Management

• Consultative Selling: Learn the FASTSIGNS product mix via FASTSIGNS University modules to guide customers toward effective visual marketing solutions.
• Lead Response & Follow-Up: Answer inbound phone calls, assist walk-in customers, and deliver same-day email estimates. Promptly follow up with phone calls to advance sales opportunities.
• Account Cultivation & Outreach: Build relationships with new clients, reconnect with past customers, and make outbound calls to inactive business accounts.
• Order Administration: Collect prepayments prior to releasing jobs, accurately manage Corebridge WIP (Work in Progress) status, and keep customer order tracking alerts updated.
• Inventory Coordination: Check substrate and specialized material inventory at Fredericksburg Rd to ensure timely material ordering for custom jobs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Software Expertise: Advanced mastery of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop ("black belt" level proficiency preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in graphic design, marketing, advertising, or inside sales with strong customer service background.
• Education: Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or Fine Arts preferred.
• Design & Technical Acumen: In-depth knowledge of typography, color theory, layout composition, brand standards, print file preparation, and optimal enlargement specifications.
• Communication & Professionalism: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong spelling, grammar, proofreading, and basic math abilities.
• Task Management: Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
