About this role

Warehouse Operations Manager (Level 1)

Company: FashionPass

Department: Operations

Reports to: Senior Operations Manager

Location: Gardena, CA

About FashionPass

FashionPass is a clothing rental company based in Gardena, CA. Our warehouse operations keep orders moving, from garment care and finishing to the conveyors and out to our members’ doors. Our Operations teams are at the center of it.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Manager Level 1 to lead the day to day operations of one of our warehouse teams. Depending on business needs, this role may support one or more operational areas, so we’re looking for someone who can learn quickly, keep work moving, and keep everyone informed along the way.

The right person is a strong problem solver and critical thinker who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and stays calm when plans change or equipment goes down.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise team members on a daily basis and make sure the daily workload is completed
  • Coach and develop team members, giving regular feedback and support, and make sure standard procedures are followed
  • Adjust staffing during the shift by moving team members between tasks and areas when there are call outs, equipment issues, or shifting priorities
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with team members, fellow managers, and your Sr Ops Manager, in both Spanish and English
  • When equipment breaks down, flag the issue right away and see the repair through from start to finish, checking in at every step and communicating status clearly. This does not mean performing the repair yourself
  • Help team members with basic troubleshooting of everyday equipment when needed
  • Provide coverage in other operational areas, such as Shipping, when needed to help get the daily volume out
  • Test and recommend process improvements, with the freedom to try new approaches to improve quality, efficiency, and turnaround
  • Identify bottlenecks and recurring equipment or process issues and bring solutions forward
  • Uphold safety standards and keep the work area organized and efficient

Qualifications

  • Some experience in a warehouse, production, distribution, fulfillment, or similar operations environment
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a team
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal)
  • Strong written English; written Spanish is a plus
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to act without waiting to be told what to do
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions and reassign people effectively when staffing or equipment changes
  • Reliable follow through, including staying on top of open repairs and updates until they are resolved
  • Comfortable working around industrial equipment in a production environment
  • Ability to stay on your feet and move around a warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in garment care, ecommerce, apparel, or rental/subscription fulfillment
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems
  • Experience coaching and developing hourly team members
  • Experience testing and implementing process improvements

What Success Looks Like

  • The workload stays covered, even when equipment goes down or call outs happen
  • Repairs and issues are flagged quickly and followed through with clear communication at every step
  • Team members feel coached, supported, and clear on expectations
  • Processes are followed consistently, and improvements are tested and shared
  • Other areas of the operation are covered effectively when needed
  • Your Senior Operations Manager is kept informed and can count on you
