Qualifications (REQUIRED):

NY State Registered Professional Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:

The School Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care and health services to students throughout the school day. The nurse promotes the health, safety, and well - being of students by addressing medical needs, administering prescribed medications and treatments, managing illnesses and injuries, and responding to medical emergencies within the school setting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Applicants should demonstrate:

+ Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, procedures, and techniques

+ The ability to assess health concerns

+ Knowledge of medication administration and basic emergency response procedures

+ The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school staff and families Desirable Characteristics:
