Job description
About this role
About The Role
The role owns end-to-end UX for a data-heavy SaaS product used daily by thousands of professionals - from early discovery research through shipped interfaces and post-launch iteration.
You will work directly with product managers, engineers, and researchers to turn ambiguous problems into tested, production-ready design decisions, with real ownership of how the product feels, not just how it looks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery: plan and run user interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing sessions, synthesizing findings into actionable insights
- Design flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interfaces in Figma for complex workflows - dashboards, settings, onboarding, and multi-step forms
- Maintain and extend the design system, contributing components, tokens, and documentation used across web and mobile surfaces
- Prototype and test interactions using Figma, Framer, or Principle before engineering handoff
- Partner with engineering through implementation, reviewing builds, handling edge cases, and measuring shipped work against success metrics
- Define and track UX metrics - task completion, time-on-task, SUS scores - and use them to prioritize design investments
- Present design rationale to stakeholders and defend decisions with research evidence, not opinion
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of UX design experience shipping production software, ideally B2B SaaS or data-heavy products
- A strong portfolio demonstrating the full design process: research inputs, iteration, tradeoffs, and measured outcomes - not just polished screens
- Expert-level Figma skills including auto-layout, variables, and component-driven design systems
- Hands-on experience running user research independently: interview design, moderation, and synthesis
- Ability to write clear specs and collaborate with engineers on implementation details like states, empty screens, and error handling
- Bachelor's degree in HCI, Design, Psychology, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), front-end literacy (HTML/CSS basics), or design ops experience scaling a system across multiple teams
