About The Role
The role owns a core product area end-to-end - from market insight and roadmap strategy through sprint-level execution with engineering. This is a hands-on PM position for a B2B SaaS platform, working daily with backend and frontend teams building APIs, integrations, and data-heavy workflows.
You will be the connective tissue between engineering, design, GTM, and customers - translating ambiguous business problems into clear, prioritized product requirements, and shipping features that measurably move activation, retention, and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for a core platform area - defining quarterly objectives, sequencing major initiatives, and making explicit tradeoff decisions between new features, platform reliability, and technical debt
- Write clear, actionable PRDs and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria; run backlog grooming and sprint planning directly with engineering leads
- Partner with engineering to scope technical work, understand architectural constraints (REST APIs, event-driven systems, multi-tenant data models), and unblock implementation decisions
- Define, instrument, and monitor product metrics using tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or SQL-based analysis; make roadmap decisions backed by quantitative evidence
- Conduct customer discovery - user interviews, sales call shadowing, win/loss analysis - and convert findings into validated, prioritized requirements
- Coordinate cross-functional launches with design, marketing, and customer success, including rollout plans, feature flags, and phased releases
- Communicate product strategy and progress to leadership through structured roadmaps, business cases, and regular stakeholder reviews
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years owning a B2B or technical product area end-to-end
- Demonstrated ability to work credibly with engineers - comfortable discussing APIs, data models, and system architecture without needing hand-holding
- Strong written communication: PRDs, one-pagers, and strategy docs that engineers and executives can both act on
- Hands-on with product analytics and SQL - able to pull and interpret your own data rather than waiting on someone else
- Track record of shipping: multiple features or products taken from discovery through launch and iteration
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience; CS background a plus
