About The Role
The role focuses on building and shipping high-quality native mobile experiences for iOS and Android, used daily by hundreds of thousands of users. The engineer will own features end-to-end — from architecture and implementation through release, instrumentation, and iteration.
This is a hands-on position on a mobile team that works closely with product, design, and backend engineers to ship user-facing products at a fast, reliable cadence, with real ownership over performance, reliability, and app store release quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain native features in Swift/SwiftUI (iOS) and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Android), shipping through App Store and Play Store release cycles
- Architect and implement offline-first data layers, local caching, and sync logic against REST and GraphQL APIs
- Own cross-platform consistency: shared design system components, feature parity decisions, and platform-specific UX tradeoffs
- Instrument and improve app performance — startup time, render performance, crash rates — using tools like Firebase Performance, Sentry, and Xcode Instruments / Android Profiler
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for mobile using Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions, including automated testing and staged rollouts
- Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to team standards around modularization, testing, and release hygiene
- Collaborate with product and design to break down ambiguous feature requests into shippable milestones
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of mobile engineering experience, with deep expertise in at least one native platform (Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin/Compose) and working proficiency in the other
- Track record of shipping and maintaining consumer-facing apps through multiple app store release cycles
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns: MVVM/MVI, dependency injection (Hilt/Swift DI), modularization, and reactive programming (Coroutines/Flow or Combine/async-await)
- Experience integrating and debugging network layers against REST and/or GraphQL backends
- Hands-on experience with mobile CI/CD, automated testing (unit, UI, snapshot), and crash/analytics tooling
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
