About The Role

The role owns the design, development, and release of native mobile applications used by customers every day — building polished, performant experiences on iOS and Android from a shared codebase and shipping them through rigorous app store review cycles.

You will work alongside backend engineers, product designers, and QA to solve problems where offline behavior, battery efficiency, API latency, and UI responsiveness all matter equally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain user-facing features in Swift/SwiftUI (iOS) and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Android), or with cross-platform frameworks such as Kotlin Multiplatform or React Native
  • Design and implement mobile-first API integrations, handling auth, pagination, caching, push notifications, and background sync with graceful offline behavior
  • Own app release cycles end-to-end: TestFlight and Play Console pipelines, staged rollouts, feature flags, and hotfix management
  • Instrument and monitor app performance — crash rates, ANRs, cold start times, and frame rendering — using Firebase, Datadog, or Sentry, and drive fixes before users report them
  • Write unit, integration, and UI tests (XCUITest, Espresso) and maintain CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or Fastlane
  • Conduct code reviews, contribute to architecture decisions around modularization and dependency management, and mentor mid-level engineers
  • Collaborate directly with product and design to translate specs into accessible, responsive interfaces that pass WCAG and platform accessibility guidelines

What We Are Looking For

  • 3–6 years of mobile engineering experience, with at least one app shipped and maintained in the App Store or Google Play at scale
  • Deep proficiency in Swift or Kotlin, including modern declarative UI frameworks (SwiftUI or Jetpack Compose)
  • Hands-on experience consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs, local persistence (Room, Core Data, SQLDelight), and mobile security best practices
  • Strong grasp of concurrency and async patterns: coroutines, actors, GCD, or Combine/Rx
  • Experience with CI/CD for mobile builds and store deployments, including code signing and release automation
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Bonus: Kotlin Multiplatform or Flutter experience, published open-source mobile libraries, or experience optimizing apps for low-end devices and poor network conditions
