Software QA Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
• Verify application functionality across supported browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to clarify requirements.
• Conduct API testing and validate application integrations.
• Assist with test automation to improve testing efficiency.
• Reproduce reported issues and verify fixes before release.
• Maintain testing documentation and communicate quality risks.
• Participate in release validation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure software features meet established functional and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in software quality assurance or application testing.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking and test-management tools.
• Knowledge of web applications, browser testing, and API testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practices.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Familiarity with web analytics, digital advertising, or travel technology platforms.
