About this role

The Senior Business Product Manager, Lending is responsible for identifying, defining, and delivering business capabilities that support the commercial lending lifecycle. This role serves as a key liaison between Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance, Accounting, and other cross-functional partners to drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

The initial focus of this role will be within the Commercial Servicing domain, supporting complex lending products including corporate lending, syndicated lending, specialty finance, equipment finance/leasing, and structured mortgage finance.

Over time, the scope may expand to support additional areas of the commercial lending lifecycle, providing opportunities to influence broader product strategy, operational transformation, and capability development across the organization.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial lending knowledge with product management, business analysis, and transformation experience to deliver practical solutions that improve operational efficiency, scalability, controls, and client experience.

This is a business-facing role responsible for defining business needs, documenting requirements, supporting solution delivery, leading testing activities, and ensuring successful implementation of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Product & Transformation Management: Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities to improve commercial lending and servicing capabilities. Define business priorities, requirements, and success metrics for strategic initiatives. Support the development and execution of product roadmaps aligned to business objectives. Drive process improvement and transformation efforts across lending and servicing operations. Evaluate operational challenges and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency, controls, and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define future-state business capabilities and operating models.
  • Requirements & Business Analysis: Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders across the organization. Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria. Facilitate stakeholder workshops and working sessions to align on business objectives and solution design. Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement and standardization. Ensure business requirements adequately address operational, regulatory, accounting, reporting, and customer needs.
  • Testing & Implementation: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for new capabilities, enhancements, and system changes. Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts. Coordinate business testing efforts and support defect resolution. Partner with Technology and project teams throughout design, development, testing, and implementation. Assist with change management, business readiness, training, and rollout activities. Monitor outcomes and ensure delivered solutions meet business objectives and user expectations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong partnerships across Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and other support functions. Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for business needs throughout the delivery lifecycle. Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership. Facilitate alignment and decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial lending, commercial loan servicing, product management, business analysis, or lending operations, supporting complex commercial lending products such as corporate lending, syndicated lending, specialty finance, equipment finance/leasing, or structured finance.
  • Hands-on experience with FIS Commercial Loan Servicing (CLS) and/or ACBS platform, including requirements definition, system enhancements, process optimization, testing, and implementation support.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance, and Accounting, including requirements gathering, process design, user acceptance testing (UAT), and successful delivery of business and technology solutions.
