About this role

Senior Systems Engineer

---------------------------

Euronet Worldwide | [City, State] | Primarily office-based

Join Euronet Worldwide as a Senior Systems Engineer and help keep the infrastructure our teams rely on secure and available. You’ll work across Windows and Linux servers, multi-domain Active Directory, virtualization, backups, and systems monitoring. You’ll also partner with global IT, Network, and Security teams to resolve complex issues and improve how we support employees across offices and time zones.

This hands-on role combines infrastructure projects with day-to-day operations. You’ll serve as a Tier 2/3 escalation point, troubleshoot issues through resolution, and share what you learn with other IT team members.

What you’ll do

------------------

  • Maintain a multi-domain Active Directory environment and support physical and virtual servers running on VMware and Proxmox, including Veeam backups.
  • Coordinate software updates and security patching for Windows desktops and servers using ManageEngine Endpoint Central. Support patching for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS servers.
  • Troubleshoot internal and external network access issues with network engineers and customer IT teams. Work with Cisco environments and infrastructure configurations managed through YAML and GitHub.
  • Maintain SolarWinds and Grafana monitoring to identify and investigate infrastructure issues.
  • Partner with the Security team to investigate and remediate vulnerabilities identified through Qualys.
  • Administer cloud-based Jira and Confluence in partnership with the global Atlassian team.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support, coordinate infrastructure projects across divisions, and cross-train colleagues on systems and support procedures.

Requirements

  • At least five years of IT experience, including hands-on systems administration or infrastructure support.
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • The ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently, prioritize work, and follow through as needs change.
  • Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across offices and time zones.

Preferred experience

------------------------

  • Microsoft or Cisco certifications.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, Microsoft VPN, RSA, Intune, Windows Autopilot, Foreman, or Veeam.

Work environment

--------------------

This position is primarily office-based and follows standard business hours, with occasional overtime. The work is primarily computer-based and may occasionally involve moving equipment weighing up to 15 pounds.

If you enjoy solving infrastructure problems and working with colleagues across IT and Security, we’d like to hear from you.
