Job Description
Seeking a Product Manager with 5+ years of experience delivering API-driven products in regulated environments, with strong expertise in Open Banking, REST APIs, OAuth/OIDC, third-party integrations, and cross-functional program delivery. Own the end-to-end delivery of open banking capabilities, including API-based data sharing, third-party/TPP connectivity, consent and permissions, and partner integrations.
Translate regulatory and commercial requirements into executable engineering work and drive delivery through production.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience delivering technical, API-centric, or platform products in a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated fluency with REST/JSON APIs, authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth 2.0/OIDC or equivalent, data models, and integration testing, with enough technical depth to credibly challenge engineering designs.
- Proven track record of delivering complex cross-functional programs involving internal dependencies, external partners/vendors, and third parties.
- Strong written communication and requirements definition skills, with the ability to produce documentation engineers can build from without repeated clarification; ability to use AI to enhance productivity and quality.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or equivalent tools.
- Direct open banking experience is preferred but not required. Relevant backgrounds may include payments, card networks/acquiring, core banking, identity and consent management, healthcare data interoperability/FHIR, telecom or utility data exchange, or another regulated API/data-sharing ecosystem. Candidates should demonstrate transferable technical depth, third-party integration experience, and comfort operating within regulatory constraints. Spanish language skills would be a strong advantage for work related to Chile.
- Familiarity with open banking standards and regulatory regimes such as
FDX, UK Open Banking, PSD2/PSD3, and Section 1033.
- Experience managing
developer- or partner-facing APIs, including versioning and deprecation.
- A data-driven approach to adoption, reliability, and consent-funnel performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, testable requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, API and data specifications, and error/edge-case handling.
- Run dependency and impact assessments across internal platforms, partners, and downstream consumers, surfacing risks and sequencing trade-offs early.
- Partner closely with engineering throughout the full SDLC, including grooming, sprint planning, prioritization, and release readiness, using Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Engage design teams early to shape consent, authentication, and disclosure experiences, validating solutions against regulatory and usability constraints.
- Drive clarity in an ambiguous, multi-stakeholder environment by defining scope, documenting decisions, and keeping Legal, Compliance, Risk, Data, Operations, and partner teams aligned.
- Own roadmap, milestone, and status communications for senior stakeholders.
