**Position Summary**

In this role, you are responsible for developing algorithms to process, fuse and manipulate various sensor data and partnering with embedded software developers to integrate into man\-portable battery powered systems.

**Responsibilities:**

• Design, test, and deploy image processing, computer vision, machine learning, artificial intelligence and/or control algorithms which utilize multi\-modal sensor inputs to include imagers, IMUs and off product intelligence.
• Develop unique algorithmic methods that make Soldier systems smarter and more intuitive.
• Interface with software engineers by providing adequate requirements and design documentation to realize algorithms in embedded architectures.
• Identify risks and critical path, providing and executing mitigation plans to achieve program objectives.
• Communicate status of program internally to management/technical stakeholders and report per program requirements externally to the customer.
• Data collection, processing and analysis required.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to developers, system leads, and customers.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating across cross\-functional teams.

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or Imaging Science, with 3\+ years of experience developing algorithms for controls, image processing or data filtering for embedded systems.
• Experience with imaging systems, target location systems and/or unmanned systems preferred.
• Hands\-on experience with system integration and testing preferred.
• Creative thinker with outstanding problem\-solving skills during creation, planning, and execution.
• Proactive data analysis skills required to evaluate metrics to provide solutions.
• Experience with MATLAB or equivalent required.
• Experience with embedded software is a plus.
• Experience with common filters (e.g. Kalman) is preferred.
• Experience with statistical modeling of errors is preferred.

**Additional Information:**

• Applicant must be a US Citizen.
• Travel within the US to customer locations may be required occasionally to support product testing or design reviews.
