About this role

Position overview

Position: Sales and Marketing Manager

Location: San Marcos, Texas

We are looking for a personable, organized sales and marketing manager who can help prospective clients picture their event here—and guide them confidently from their first inquiry to a confirmed booking.

You will own the sales process, build relationships with couples and event clients, lead engaging venue tours, and create marketing that brings the right people through the door. You should enjoy both sides of the work: the conversation that earns a client’s trust and the disciplined follow-through that turns interest into business.

This is an opportunity to work closely with ownership, shape how the venue reaches new clients, and see the direct results of your work.

What you will own

Sales and bookings

  • Respond promptly and thoughtfully to inquiries by phone, email, text, and approved social channels.
  • Learn each client’s event vision, guest count, timing, priorities, and budget, then explain suitable options clearly.
  • Schedule and conduct welcoming, well-prepared venue tours that connect the property’s features to what matters to each client.
  • Prepare accurate proposals and guide clients through approved contracts and booking requirements.
  • Follow up consistently with open opportunities, answer objections with care, ask for the booking, and document next steps.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including lead sources, conversations, tour activity, proposals, projected revenue, and reasons for lost bookings.
  • Develop referral relationships with wedding planners, photographers, caterers, businesses, and other relevant partners.
  • Coordinate a complete handoff to the events team so expectations, commitments, and client details carry through after the sale.

Marketing and demand generation

  • Maintain a practical marketing calendar aligned with available dates, booking priorities, and seasonal demand.
  • Create and coordinate compelling venue content, including photos, short videos, social posts, email campaigns, and client stories, using appropriate permissions.
  • Keep approved venue information, offers, brochures, website content, and business listings accurate and consistent.
  • Coordinate paid advertising and outside creative support within approved budgets; connect campaign results to inquiries, tours, and bookings.
  • Help plan open houses, showcases, and other opportunities for prospective clients to experience Enchanted Ranch.
  • Build a consistent review and referral process with the events team.
  • Test new ideas, track results, and recommend where to increase, adjust, or stop marketing effort.

How success will be measured

Success means a healthy sales pipeline, profitable bookings, and a client experience that earns trust. Ownership and the manager will agree on targets using the venue’s booking goals and starting performance.

Core measures include:

  • Qualified inquiries and their sources.
  • Response time and completion of scheduled follow-up.
  • Tours scheduled, tours attended, and inquiry-to-tour conversion.
  • Tour-to-booking conversion and time to close.
  • Confirmed bookings, booked revenue, and average booking value.
  • Marketing cost per qualified inquiry and per booking.
  • Accuracy of CRM records, forecasts, and event-team handoffs.

Bookings, collected payments, and accounting revenue will be reported separately. Social reach and engagement will support the evaluation of marketing; the primary focus is business generated.

What you bring

  • Demonstrated success selling a service or experience and guiding customers through a considered purchase.
  • Clear, warm communication in person, on the phone, and in writing.
  • Confidence leading tours, discussing pricing, handling objections, and asking for a decision.
  • Strong organization and reliable follow-through across multiple active opportunities.
  • Practical experience creating marketing content and using results to improve it.
  • Comfort with CRM software, spreadsheets, social scheduling tools, and basic marketing reporting.
  • Sound judgment with client information, budgets, commitments, and brand reputation.
  • The ability to work independently while coordinating closely with ownership and the events team.

Wedding, venue, hospitality, catering, or event sales experience is especially valuable. Experience with Zoho CRM, Google Ads, Meta platforms, Canva, or similar tools is helpful. Relevant results and work samples matter more than a specific degree.

Working expectations

The role requires time at the venue for tours, content creation, and collaboration, with evening and weekend availability for scheduled client appointments and selected events. The exact weekly schedule and work arrangement will be confirmed before posting.

The manager will work within approved pricing, contract terms, promotional offers, and marketing budgets. Ownership approves exceptions. The role coordinates with the events team for delivery; responsibility for event-day management should be specified separately if included.

Pay: $48,900.00 - $59,100.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Employee discount
  • Flexible schedule
  • Paid time off

Experience:

  • Marketing: 2 years (Required)
  • Sales: 2 years (Required)

Work Location: In person
