About this role

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions has an exciting career opportunity available as Senior Strategy & Operations Analyst.

Job Summary

The Senior Strategy & Operations Analyst partners directly with the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives to turn complex operational questions into clear, data-backed answers. This position helps determine what data is needed to measure and improve performance, finds or builds that data when standard reports fall short, cleans and reconciles it until it can be trusted, and presents it in a way that drives decisions.

The Senior Strategy & Operations Analyst works side by side with Operations leaders to interpret results and act on them. This is a high-visibility role at the center of Elevate's healthcare client engagements, partnering closely with Operations and IT and working across EPIC, call center platforms, and vendor data. Healthcare industry experience and EPIC reporting experience are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a thought partner to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, brainstorming the questions that matter and the data needed to answer them.
  • Identify where performance data is missing or unreliable, and partner with Operations and IT to source, define, or build it, including EPIC Clarity/Caboodle extracts.
  • Clean, reconcile, and validate data from EPIC, vendor files, and internal trackers until it can be trusted, resolving duplicates, gaps, and discrepancies at the record level.
  • Turn analysis into concise, compelling presentations for Elevate leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Work side by side with Operations leaders to interpret results, observe workflows, pinpoint root causes, and translate findings into action plans with clear owners.
  • Lead high-priority strategic and operational initiatives, balancing recurring deliverables with ad hoc projects.
  • Develop KPIs, measurement frameworks, ROI analyses, and business cases for processes, vendor programs, and new initiatives.
  • Build staffing, FTE, capacity, and backlog burn-down models.
  • Analyze call center performance (volume, abandonment, speed of answer, handle time, agent availability) and diagnose drivers of change.
  • Own recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, and standardize and automate it with the Analytics team.
  • Use approved generative AI tools to accelerate work, and validate all outputs against source data.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, client data-use agreements, and internal audit and compliance controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, healthcare administration, analytics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, consulting, or business/operations analysis.
  • 3+ years of healthcare industry experience in a health system, provider group, payer, revenue cycle or healthcare services company, or healthcare consulting.
  • Experience with EPIC reporting (e.g., Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Clarity/Caboodle extracts).
  • Familiarity with healthcare data concepts (patient and encounter identifiers, orders/referrals, CPT/ICD coding, payers, provider NPI).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, Power Query, data validation) and demonstrated ability to reconcile large, inconsistent datasets to the record level.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using generative AI tools (Claude preferred) for analysis and reporting, with a disciplined approach to validating outputs.
  • Ability to produce clear, accurate executive presentations in PowerPoint under tight, recurring deadlines.
  • Intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity, with a drive to determine which question to ask, not just to answer it.
  • Ability to explain data clearly to operational, non-technical audiences, along with professional, accurate, and concise written communication.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience working in EPIC operational workflows (e.g., orders/referrals, scheduling, authorizations).
  • Preferred: Revenue cycle or patient access exposure (scheduling, prior authorization, pre-registration, financial clearance, denials).
  • Preferred: SQL and/or Python for data preparation; Power BI or Tableau.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of business statistics and process improvement methodology (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Preferred: Call center or workforce analytics experience.
  • Preferred: Client-facing consulting or outsourced-services experience.
