About this role

Location

Indianapolis, IN Duration: 2+ Years Detailed Responsibilities and Expected Role Outputs 1.

Pension requirements analysis and traceability

  • Review approved pension requirements, functional specifications, change requests, configuration details, and business-process documentation.
  • Identify testable conditions, actors, inputs, expected outcomes, exception paths, and dependencies.
  • Map each requirement to one or more test scenarios and cases, and identify requirements that lack sufficient detail or require confirmation from Client business owners.
  • 2.

Pension domain and calculation validation

Develop and execute scenarios to validate pension-related calculations and business rules within the approved application scope. Consider applicable eligibility conditions, member attributes, service information, retirement events, calculation inputs, effective dates, and boundary or exception conditions.

Compare application results with approved expected outcomes and document the basis for any variance; do not independently establish policy interpretations where Client confirmation is required. 3. PeopleSoft / INPAS functional and system testing: Test assigned application functions, screens, transactions, processing steps, worklists, interfaces, scheduled jobs, and related system behavior.

Validate that user actions and system processing produce the expected business result, that required fields and controls operate correctly, and that error or exception conditions are handled appropriately. 4.

Integration, batch, and data validation

Execute assigned tests involving data movement between pension applications and connected systems , including relevant inbound and outbound interfaces, batch processes, and data updates. Validate record selection, transformation, completeness, accuracy, processing status, and error handling against approved specifications. Coordinate with integration and data owners when source or downstream discrepancies are identified.

5.

Regression and release testing

Maintain and execute a risk-based regression set for affected pension functionality. Select scenarios based on change impact, business criticality, defect history, and dependencies. Compare results across relevant test cycles, identify unintended impacts, and provide clear evidence of passed, failed, blocked, and not-run tests.

6.

Defect documentation and resolution verification

Create actionable defect records containing requirement references, environment, application version, test data, reproduction steps, expected and actual results, screenshots or logs where permitted, and business impact. Participate in triage, answer clarification questions, retest fixes, and execute targeted regression to verify that the correction is effective. 7.

UAT and pension stakeholder support

Support Client pension stakeholders during business scenario reviews and UAT preparation. Explain test conditions and results, assist with test data and execution questions, capture business feedback, and route policy or interpretation questions to authorized Client representatives. Maintain clear separation between QA findings and business acceptance decisions.

8.

Evidence, reporting, and knowledge maintenance

Maintain test cases, traceability records, execution logs, defect links, data references, and completion summaries in the designated tools. Document confirmed business-rule clarifications and reusable scenarios so that subsequent releases can use consistent test coverage. Provide status and risk information to the Delivery Manager / Test Manager.
