Compensation: Commission only — 20% of eligible advertising sales; no base salary

El Periódico USA, serving the Hispanic community since 1986, is seeking a motivated Advertising Sales Associate to help local businesses reach our readers through print and digital advertising.

What you’ll do

• Find and contact prospective advertisers, including local businesses and community organizations.
• Explain our advertising options and recommend packages that fit each client’s goals and budget.
• Prepare proposals, follow up with prospects, and close sales.
• Build lasting relationships with advertisers and secure renewals.
• Coordinate advertising materials and deadlines with our team.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, sales, and client communications.

What we’re looking for

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
• Confidence contacting businesses by phone, email, and in person.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized.
• Sales, advertising, or customer service experience preferred.
• English and Spanish communication skills preferred.
• Familiarity with the Rio Grande Valley business community is a plus.

Compensation

This is a commission-only opportunity with no base salary or guaranteed monthly earnings. You will earn 20% of eligible advertising sales.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $4,000.00 per month
