Employee Benefits Account Manager

EHD is seeking a relationship-focused Client Manager to serve as a trusted advisor for our employee benefits clients in our Exton, Pennsylvania office. This is a full-time position working hybrid (two days in the office, three days remote each week). This role is responsible for building long-term client partnerships, delivering exceptional service, and providing strategic guidance on employee benefits programs.

The ideal candidate combines strong interpersonal and consultative skills with experience supporting self-funded health plans and larger employer groups. This individual will work closely with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to develop solutions that support client objectives, drive retention, and enhance the overall client experience.

General duties:

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of employee benefits clients.
• Build and maintain trusted partnerships with Human Resource leaders, company executives, and key decision-makers.
• Lead client service activities, including renewals, implementation of benefit programs, and ongoing strategic consulting.
• Provide strategic guidance on self-funded and alternative funding arrangements, plan performance, and cost-management initiatives.
• Collaborate with Producers and internal specialists to develop and implement client solutions.
• Identify client needs proactively and recommend programs, resources, and services that support organizational goals.
• Ensure a consistently high level of client satisfaction and retention.
• Travel to client meetings and provide support during open-enrollment, renewals, and client meetings as requested.

Required Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• PA Life and Health license required.
• Four-year college degree required.
• 5+ years of employee benefits experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing self-funded health plans with larger employer groups
• Strong understanding of employee benefits, funding arrangements, carrier products, stop loss and employee benefit market trends
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and client management skills
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and provide strategic recommendations
• Proficiency with agent management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client meetings and presentations.
