Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Prepress Designer to join our creative team at EBC Printing and Signs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing print and digital design files, ensuring color accuracy, and optimizing artwork for production. This role is essential in maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency throughout the print process.

The successful applicant will bring technical proficiency, artistic insight, and a meticulous eye for detail to support our production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize design files for print production, ensuring all specifications are met
• Manage color management processes to guarantee color fidelity across various media
• Collaborate with graphic designers, marketing teams, and clients to review artwork requirements
• Conduct preflight checks on files using professional graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
• Ensure proper layout design, typesetting, and file organization for seamless print production
• Optimize digital art, illustrations, and photo manipulations for high-quality output
• Maintain consistency in branding elements across multiple projects
• Assist with proofing processes, including soft proofs and press checks
• Support the setup of print advertising materials and signage manufacturing files
• Implement quality control measures to identify and resolve potential issues before printing

Qualifications

• Proven experience in prepress operations within a commercial printing environment
• Proficiency with graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDRAW, Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of color theory, color management, and typography design for media
• Technical knowledge of print production processes and file preparation standards
• Familiarity with digital design tools such as HTML, CSS, WordPress, and motion graphics software like Adobe After Effects is a plus
• Ability to interpret technical specifications for various media formats
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
