About this role
Inside Sales Account Manager
Eagle Alloys Corporation · Talbott, TN · Full-time, on-site
Most people never think about the metal inside a jet engine, a missile guidance system, or a hip implant. We think about it all day.
Eagle Alloys is a third-generation, family-owned distributor of specialty and refractory metals: tantalum, tungsten, molybdenum, niobium, titanium and the alloys made from them. Our customers build for aerospace, defense and medical device programs, where “close enough” isn’t a spec.
We’re looking for an Inside Sales Account Manager to cultivate customer relationships, manage the sales process end-to-end, and become someone our customers ask for by name.
What you will do
- Manage a book of accounts. You’ll be the go-to contact for engineers, buyers and supply-chain teams at manufacturers across the country.
- Quote with speed and precision. You’ll price bar, plate, sheet, wire and cut-to-size parts, often in rare metals, against tight lead times.
- Manage the order end-to-end. You’ll take each order from RFQ to quote to PO to shipment, including customer portals like SAP Ariba, government bids, and the paperwork that comes with defense and aerospace work.
- Get the documentation right. You’ll confirm that material certifications, mill test reports and customer specs (ASTM, AMS) match what’s actually going out, and catch anything that doesn’t before the customer does.
- Grow accounts. You’ll find the next order inside the last one: repeat programs, new parts, new contacts.
- Partner with operations and purchasing. You’ll work with them so we promise what we can deliver, and deliver what we promise.
What you will bring
- 2+ years of inside sales, customer service or account management, ideally in metals, industrial distribution or manufacturing
- Comfort with numbers: margins, weights, dimensions, unit conversions
- Clear, warm, fast written communication. Customers notice when you answer the same day.
- Organization that holds up under a stack of open quotes
- Curiosity about the materials. You don’t need to know the density of tungsten on day one (19.3 g/cm3, but who’s counting), but you should want to learn.
Bonus points for: metals quoting, ERP/CRM systems, ITAR/DFARS awareness, or government and aerospace supply chain experience
Why Eagle
- A small team where your work shows. No layers, no lost-in-the-org-chart feeling.
- A company that’s investing. We’re modernizing how we quote, track and serve customers, and we want people who help shape that, not just follow it.
- Meaningful products. What we ship ends up in aircraft, defense systems and medical devices people trust their lives to.
- Pay and benefits. Competitive salary, Eagle Alloys Employee Incentive Program, paid medical, dental and vision, 401(k) and PTO.
