Position Overview

Draftco Designs, LLC is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects while collaborating with talented professionals in a creative and supportive environment.

About the Role

As an Architectural Drafter at Draftco Designs, you will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings and plans. You'll work closely with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality documentation that brings projects to life from initial concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan comprehensive site plans and building floor plans that meet project requirements and regulatory standards
• Draft detailed blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications using industry-standard software
• Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, and building systems for various project types
• Conduct client consultations to understand project goals, preferences, and requirements
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines including structural engineers, MEP consultants, and other disciplines
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders
• Ensure all drawings comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards
• Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout all project phases
• Coordinate with construction teams to clarify design intent and resolve field issues
• Perform quality control reviews of drawings prior to submission
• Assist in the preparation of project presentations and permit applications
• Stay current with project schedules and contribute to meeting critical deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an Architectural Designer or in a similar drafting role
• Advanced proficiency in both AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit (required)
• Strong understanding of current architectural trends, design principles, and aesthetics
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and materials
• Excellent design sensibility and spatial awareness skills
• Thorough understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction documentation standards
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional accuracy in technical drawings
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven track record of meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions
• Professional degree or certificate in Architecture, Drafting, or related field preferred

Technical Skills

• Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit for all phases of architectural documentation
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) preferred
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software is beneficial
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based with occasional site visits for project observation and documentation. Some travel may be required for client consultations, project meetings, or site inspections. The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Pay: $60,000. 00 - $71,000. 00 per year
