Job Overview

Prominent Los Angeles plaintiff law firm is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mass Tort Attorney to join our passionate legal team. In this role, you will manage large-scale mass tort cases, develop legal strategies, and advocate fiercely for our clients’ rights. Your expertise will help us deliver justice in complex litigation involving multiple plaintiffs and intricate legal issues.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate mass tort litigation cases from inception through resolution, including case investigation, discovery, and trial preparation
• Conduct comprehensive legal research across various practice areas such as personal injury law, environmental law, employment law, and more to build strong case strategies
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
• Manage client communications effectively to ensure they are informed and supported throughout their legal journey
• Prepare for court depositions, trial proceedings, and settlement negotiations by organizing evidence and developing persuasive advocacy strategies
• Collaborate with experts, co-counsel, and support staff to streamline case management processes using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw for research
• Stay current on procedural laws and statutory regulations relevant to mass tort litigation to ensure compliance and effective advocacy

Skills

• Exceptional attention to detail in reviewing case records, analyzing evidence, preparing court filings, conducting legal research, and managing complex litigation matters involving multiple plaintiffs and intricate legal issues.
• Extensive experience in personal injury law with a focus on mass torts or large-scale litigation cases
• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
• Strong knowledge of procedural law, trial preparation, court depositions, and legal motion drafting
• Excellent negotiation skills for settlement discussions and client advocacy
• Familiarity with environmental law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, employment law cases, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, immigration law, estate planning, contract drafting, statutory research & legal writing
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex cases efficiently using legal case management systems
• Exceptional communication skills for effective client interaction and courtroom presentation
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research and apply findings strategically in litigation contexts
• Experience in general & commercial litigation along with employment law case experience is highly desirable

Pay: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
