Duties / Responsibilities:
· Leadership Support: Act as the right hand to the Assistant Controller and Controller, executing miscellaneous accounting tasks, ad-hoc research projects, and administrative support as requested.
· AR & AP Supervision: Assist in the supervision of the daily operations of the AR and AP teams, serving as the first point of escalation to resolve complex vendor disputes, billing discrepancies, and collections issues.
· Month-End Operations: Assist leadership with the month-end close process by preparing standard journal entries, organizing schedules, and compiling baseline financial files.
· Reconciliations & Maintenance: Perform regular balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations to ensure the general ledger is accurate, and transactional teams are coding entries properly.
· Audit & Documentation Support: Pull documentation, compile historical transaction records, and organize schedules to assist leadership during external year-end audits.
· Fixed Assets: Maintain and reconcile the fixed assets for assigned locations utilizing the Sage FAS software.
· Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent hands-on accounting experience.
· Experience: 4+ years of general accounting experience, with clear exposure to supporting an accounting department and leading or mentoring AR/AP personnel.
· Technical Skills: Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office especially in Excel (data sorting, pivot tables) and familiarity with core accounting platforms.
· Core Competencies: Strong operational understanding of full-cycle AP and AR workflows and general accounting practices. Strong problem solving, organizational, time management, and excellent supervisory skills.
· Soft Skills: Highly adaptable with a "no task is too small" attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to pivot between different tasks quickly.
