Accounting Manager - Fractional

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fractional Accounting Manager to lead and oversee financial and administrative operations on a part-time basis with a flexible schedule. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage diverse accounting functions, administrative functions, and drive financial accuracy within a flexible, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership abilities, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a passion for delivering precise financial insights to the President / CEO and Operations personnel requiring the information.

Duties

• Provides leadership to the Accounting Department
• Provides direction of all administrative functions including, but not limited to, accounting, credit, insurance, reporting, information technology, payroll and ESOP.
• Develops and enforces the company’s financial policies, systems, and controls in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Manage and oversee ERP system
• Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company
• Complete month end accounting close in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage year-end financial closing, ensuring excellent and timely results
• Manage inventory and cost accounting for manufacturing operations
• Streamline accounting functions and operations
• Oversee daily cash transactions and provide pertinent information to President / CEO

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting, manufacturing experience required
• Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet, product costing and cash flow management; exposure to ESOP administration a plus
• Understanding of human resource and payroll functions
• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar leadership role within diverse sectors such as nonprofit, governmental, or corporate environments.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
