Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Thea | 100% Remote | Teledermatology
About Thea
Thea is a fast-growing digital dermatology company building a more personalized, accessible way to deliver skincare and medical dermatology.
Our platform combines AI-powered technology with clinician-led care to provide individualized treatment plans, prescription management, and ongoing patient support.
We're looking for an experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding clinical team.
The Role
This is a fully remote position focused on providing high-quality dermatologic care through a streamlined, technology-enabled workflow.
You'll work alongside board-certified dermatologists and a dedicated support team, managing common dermatologic conditions through telehealth.
Our platform is designed to minimize administrative burden so clinicians can focus on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and other common dermatologic conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using topical and oral medications.
- Review clinical histories, patient photographs, and AI-assisted intake assessments.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment based on patient response.
- Provide asynchronous follow-up care and video consultations when clinically indicated.
- Collaborate with supervising dermatologists on complex cases and clinical escalations.
- Maintain concise, accurate documentation using our streamlined EMR.
Qualifications
Required
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in at least one U.S. state.
- National NP certification and appropriate prescriptive authority.
- Experience evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients independently within applicable scope-of-practice requirements.
- Comfortable with telemedicine, digital workflows, and technology-enabled care.
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
Strongly Preferred
- Prior dermatology experience is highly valued, particularly in medical dermatology, acne, and prescription skincare.
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in multiple states strongly preferred, particularly NY, FL, PA, IL, GA, NC, NJ, WA, AZ, TN, NV, DE, and TX. Candidates licensed in three or more of these states will receive priority consideration.
- Experience with asynchronous telemedicine.
- Familiarity with topical retinoids, acne therapies, rosacea treatments, and oral dermatologic medications.
Why Join Thea?
- 100% remote: Work from anywhere in the U.S., subject to licensing and company requirements.
- Simple, efficient workflow: Technology-assisted intake, streamlined documentation, and dedicated clinical support.
- Dermatologist collaboration: Access to specialist guidance and established escalation pathways.
- Fast-growing company: Join an expanding healthcare technology company at an exciting stage.
- Flexible opportunities: Scheduling and employment arrangements discussed during the interview process.
- Meaningful clinical work: Deliver personalized, longitudinal dermatologic care rather than one-time prescription services.
