AV Systems Engineer / Estimator (Commercial Integration – NOT Studio Work)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Video Engineer/Estimator with expertise in creating Bill of Materials (BOMs), AutoCAD proficiency, and a strong understanding of layout and design requirements for Family Entertainment Centers, bowling centers, and theme parks. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with project managers and design teams to ensure seamless system integration from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed and accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) for AV, control, and digital signage systems.
• Design and draft AV system layouts using AutoCAD, ensuring designs meet project specifications and client expectations.
• Create system schematics, signal flow diagrams, and rack elevations for installations.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to ensure system designs align with the venue’s layout and operational requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and provide recommendations on system placement and optimization.
• Stay current with AV technology trends and recommend innovative solutions to enhance guest experiences.
• Assist with system commissioning and troubleshooting during installation phases when required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AV system design and engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for AV system layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings.
• Strong knowledge of AV system integration in FECs, Bowling Centers, Theme Parks, and similar environments.
• Expertise in developing detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs) with accurate equipment specifications and quantities.
• Familiarity with audio, video, control systems, and LED signage solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot system issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AV control systems such as Crestron, BSS, AMX, or Q-SYS.
• Knowledge of AV network design and IP-based AV systems.
• CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification is a plus.
