Business Analyst - City of Industry, CA

Short Intro and About the Job:

We have a great opportunity for a Business Analyst in our City of Industry, CA plant. Under the direction of the Plant Controller, applies principles of accounting to analyze production information, prepare cost variance reports and settle production variances.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:

• Analyzes daily production.
• Monitors and corrects production order variances in SAP on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
• Analyzes all variances which affect the plant.
• Prepares daily, weekly and monthly Material Loss Reports, which enable plant management to “manage” the plant.
• Clears COGI’s – (error reports of material variances in SAP)
• Reconciles Batch Sheets, Blends, and Rework
• Verifies the accuracy of production postings
• Ability to audit / analyze Master Data
• Ability to audit / analyze BOM’s
• Support month-end close activities (may require working during holidays and weekends)
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations.
• Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.

Engagement in our Integrated Work Systems

Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE).

As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.

The salary range for this position is $75k-90k per year. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, internal equity, and market conditions.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we’re looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain business, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain
• SAP ERP systems experience required
• CPG, Food, Dairy, Beverage experience strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Proficiency in Excel & MS Office products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
• Familiarity with principles and practices for operational excellence.
• Analytical Skills: You need to be able to review and interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on your analysis
• Problem-Solving: This involves identifying issues and developing solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Critical Thinking: You must evaluate various scenarios and their potential impacts on the business, helping to guide strategic decisions
• Communication: Clearly conveying financial information and recommendations to management and other departments is vital for implementing cost-saving measures and ensuring everyone understands the financial implications
