Senior Principal Systems Engineer – Desktop Engineering

REQUIRES AN EXISTING/ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH CI POLYGRAPH - NO REMOTE WORK, MUST WORK ON SITE

Position Overview

DAn Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Systems Engineer to support enterprise desktop engineering and endpoint infrastructure for a government customer. This position focuses on engineering, deploying, securing, and maintaining Windows, Apple, and Linux desktop environments while ensuring compliance with established security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement endpoint engineering strategies aligned with enterprise technology roadmaps.
• Maintain DISA-approved Windows installation media and Secure Host Baselines (SHB).
• Package, test, and deploy Windows and Microsoft Office security updates.
• Develop and maintain configuration guides and technical documentation.
• Design, test, deploy, and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) through Microsoft Active Directory.
• Engineer and maintain desktop images, applications, and configuration updates.
• Deploy and update approved applications using the PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT).
• Support secure desktop lifecycle management, compliance, and system improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and at least six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification compliance.
• Extensive experience with Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS endpoint environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and SCCM.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise Windows systems.
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi and vSphere.

Accepted IAT Level II Certifications

Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security, as specified in the position requirements.

Salary Range Disclaimer

The posted salary range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum compensation DAn Solutions expects to pay for this position. The position may be filled at different Labor Category (LCAT) levels depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contract requirements.

Final compensation within the posted range will be determined based on the applicable LCAT and factors including education, relevant experience, certifications, and other required qualifications
