Director, AI Product Management – Investment Workflows

Boston, MA | Hybrid| Full-Time

The Role

How can AI make an investment team more effective? We’re looking for an experienced product leader who can answer that question through products that get built, adopted, and used.

You’ll work directly with investment professionals to understand their day-to-day work, pinpoint where technology can make a meaningful difference, and drive delivery of AI-enabled solutions. Projects may address research, deal sourcing, diligence, document analysis, and access to institutional knowledge.

We’re targeting Product Managers and Product Owners with experience in private equity, hedge funds, or multi-asset investment firms. You should understand front-office priorities and have experience turning complex investment needs into usable technology.

What You’ll

Own

  • Finding the right problems to solve: Spend time with investment teams, map their workflows, and identify opportunities to improve how they gather information, analyze opportunities, and make decisions.
  • Setting product direction: Build a roadmap around the highest-value opportunities, define scope, and make clear decisions about priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Getting solutions delivered: Give technical teams clear requirements and work closely with them through prototyping, development, validation, and launch.
  • Making AI useful in daily work: Guide the implementation of AI tools and automation within existing investment processes and systems.
  • Driving adoption: Involve users early, demonstrate new capabilities, support rollout, and refine products based on actual usage.
  • Showing results: Establish measures for adoption, time savings, and workflow improvements.
  • Building responsibly: Coordinate with data, security, and compliance teams on access, confidentiality, and appropriate AI use.

The Background We’re Looking For

  • You have owned products supporting investment professionals within a private equity firm, hedge fund, or multi-asset manager. You can explain both the investment problem a product addressed and your role in getting it delivered.
  • Your experience should include:
  • Working directly with front-office stakeholders and understanding their research, diligence, or investment decision workflows.
  • Managing product priorities, requirements, and delivery through launch and subsequent improvements.
  • Implementing AI-enabled solutions or workflow automation with practical business applications.
  • Collaborating with engineering, data, and AI specialists to evaluate options and resolve delivery challenges.
  • Building credibility with demanding business users and keeping initiatives moving across multiple stakeholders.
  • Evaluating whether a tool is accurate, useful, and suitable for the information it handles.
  • Experience with generative AI, AI agents, document intelligence, enterprise search, or knowledge-management tools would be particularly relevant. Familiarity with investment platforms, CRM systems, and document repositories is also valuable.

Who Will Thrive Here

This role suits someone who enjoys staying close to users and taking ownership of execution. You can establish a clear product direction, challenge assumptions, and work through the details needed to get a solution into everyday use.

Base salary range:

$220,000-$250,000 + Bonus

Work authorization:

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. Employment visa sponsorship or transfer of sponsorship now or in the future is unavailable.
