Job description

About this role

We are seeking skilled Mechanical CAD Engineers to support aerospace engineering drawing and 3D model revision activities for an Aerospace OEM. The role involves incorporating redline changes into 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, maintaining configuration integrity, and updating associated PLM records.

The engineers will work closely with customer engineering teams to execute engineering changes, validate design updates, and deliver high-quality CAD data within defined turnaround times. Approximately 50% of the work involves drawing-only revisions, while the remaining work requires updates to both 3D models and associated drawings.

Key Responsibilities

· Revise 2D engineering drawings based on redline markups provided by customer engineering teams.

· Update and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies in Siemens NX and/or SolidWorks environments.

· Perform model and drawing validation to ensure compliance with customer drafting and modeling standards.

· Create, revise, and maintain engineering documentation and associated metadata.

· Upload, validate, and release engineering deliverables through Teamcenter/EPEC and PLM workflows.

· Maintain complete traceability of engineering changes and configuration records.

· Participate in design review and change implementation discussions.

· Ensure first-pass quality and minimize rework through rigorous self-checking procedures.

· Support routine, expedited, and critical engineering change requests while meeting turnaround commitments.

· Generate status reports and support project quality metrics.
