Commercial Insurance Agency Operations Manager

Crystal Clear Insurance LLC | Tampa, FL

Starting Salary: $75,000 annually, negotiable based on experience

Job Type: Full-time | Primarily in-office

About Us

Crystal Clear Insurance is a rapidly growing independent commercial property and casualty insurance agency specializing in complex commercial risks and excess and surplus lines insurance.

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Agency Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, lead support staff, improve workflows, and drive operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes initiative, holds others accountable, and can independently manage agency operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily agency operations, workflows, and service standards.
  • Manage, train, delegate responsibilities to, and hold virtual assistants and support staff accountable.
  • Monitor renewals, binding procedures, endorsements, policy issuance, and administrative follow-ups.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, task management, and workflow utilization in Applied Epic.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Oversee agency technology and automation tools, including Cara.
  • Monitor employee productivity, workflow completion, and outstanding tasks.
  • Independently resolve operational issues and proactively address concerns.
  • Work directly with agency ownership to improve efficiency and support continued growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty Insurance License – REQUIRED
  • Hands-on Applied Epic proficiency – REQUIRED
  • Commercial property and casualty insurance agency experience.
  • Previous management or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance workflows, renewals, and servicing.
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate, lead employees, and establish accountability.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and take ownership of operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with excess and surplus lines insurance.
  • Experience supervising virtual assistants or remote support teams.
  • Familiarity with Cara or similar agency automation technology.
  • Experience with agency accounting and carrier payment procedures.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary of $75,000, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity.
  • 401(k) with employer matching contributions up to 3.5%.
  • Paid holidays and floating holiday.
  • Paid time off in accordance with company policy.
  • Professional growth opportunities.
  • Potential for one remote workday per week after successful training.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a proactive, results-driven leader who takes ownership of operations rather than simply managing their own workload.

The right candidate will anticipate challenges, develop solutions, lead support staff effectively, and ensure agency processes run smoothly without constant oversight.

This is an operations leadership position, not a traditional account manager or producer role.

If you have strong commercial insurance experience, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for improving systems and team performance, we encourage you to apply.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • 401(k) matching
  • Paid time off
