Front-End Engineer (React/TypeScript), Contract-to-Hire

About the role

Cruz Street builds web applications for a healthcare-adjacent B2B platform. You will productionize UI for admin portals, multi-tenant portals, and data-heavy dashboards, and you will work alongside our engineering team.

Cruz Street is a fully agentic shop. We expect every engineer, front-end and data engineers alike, to work agentically: directing and reviewing AI coding agents (such as Claude Code) as a core part of the daily work. We want skilled technical contributors who own the quality of what ships.

Responsibilities

Build production React/TypeScript UI and shared components

Convert prototypes into tested, maintainable code

Collaborate with and review code from our engineering team

Own release testing support in a HIPAA-aware environment that requires US-based staff

Requirements

US-based and authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Living within about 25 miles of Vero Beach, FL

Strong React and TypeScript; Tailwind and component-library experience

Hands-on experience directing and reviewing AI coding agents (such as Claude Code) in daily development

A production UI you can link to

Availability of about 20 hrs/week

Nice to have

Cloud (AWS), dashboards and charting, healthcare/HIPAA experience

Hiring process

Our contracts require stateside contributors, and official verification may be required. Process: a short video screen, then a final interview (which may require an in-person visit).

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
