Crossway Pediatric Therapy and Academy provides home-based, community, and clinic-based speech, physical, and occupational therapy services for children from birth through adolescence. The clinic offers over 10,100 square feet of space designed for play, movement, social interaction, and skill development, supporting a child’s journey toward independence.

Each client receives individualized attention and customized therapy plans that emphasize early intervention and long-term progress. Therapists serve children in the clinic, at home, and in community settings, including Catholic private schools, local preschools, Charlotte Lab School, and Alexander Youth Network.

The team is dedicated to collaborating with families and educational partners to help children build functional skills and confidence.

Role Description

This is a part-time with potential to move to full time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Charlotte, NC. The Occupational Therapist will assess children’s developmental, sensory, and functional needs, and create individualized treatment plans to improve daily living, motor, and social skills.

Day-to-day responsibilities include providing direct therapy in the clinic and community settings, documenting evaluations and progress notes, and collaborating with families, teachers, and other professionals to support therapy goals. The role involves designing play-based and functional activities, recommending adaptive strategies or equipment, and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.

The Occupational Therapist will also contribute to early intervention efforts and help ensure consistent, family-centered care across all service environments.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with experience developing and implementing pediatric treatment plans.
  • Foundational knowledge of Medicine and related healthcare concepts relevant to pediatric therapy and developmental conditions.
  • Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including early intervention and working with children across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Effective Communication skills for collaborating with families, schools, and interdisciplinary teams, and for documenting care clearly.
  • Active state license (or eligibility for licensure) as an Occupational Therapist; graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Previous pediatric clinical experience in clinic, school, or community settings is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Charlotte, NC, with consistent reliability, professionalism, and a child-centered approach.
  • Strong organizational skills, basic proficiency with electronic documentation systems, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
