Pay: Starting at $55 per visit; occasional hourly assignments at $35/hour.

BrightStar Care of Arlington is seeking compassionate, dependable, and skilled PRN Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality, personalized nursing care to patients in their homes.

We are especially interested in nurses with experience in wound care, IV infusion therapy, PICC line care, and skilled nursing assessments.

This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive per-visit compensation, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through one-on-one patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform skilled nursing assessments, evaluations, and ongoing patient monitoring.
• Provide wound care, including wound assessments, dressing changes, wound measurements, and monitoring healing progress.
• Perform advanced wound care, including wound VAC (negative pressure wound therapy) management, when trained and competent.
• Administer prescribed medications and injections.
• Provide IV infusion therapy, including IV antibiotics and hydration, as ordered.
• Perform PICC line and central line care, including dressing changes and line maintenance.
• Provide catheter care, feeding tube care, and other skilled nursing procedures as ordered.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the Director of Nursing and treating providers.
• Educate patients and families on wound care, medications, treatments, and disease management.
• Collaborate with physicians and the clinical coordination team to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, physician orders, and applicable nursing standards.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active, unrestricted Texas RN license or multistate license authorizing practice in Texas.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in patients' homes.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

• Previous home health or home care nursing experience.
• Hands-on wound care experience, including complex wounds, dressing changes, and wound VAC therapy.
• Experience with IV infusion therapy and PICC line care.
• Experience performing skilled nursing assessments and evaluations.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records.
